Cycling around Iceland

In the summer of 2003 my friend Martin and me cycled around Iceland, an exciting adventure through a fascinating and unique landscape. The journey began the 13th of July and kept us on the track for 36 days, some days of rest in Reykjavík at the end included. We spent 1750 kilometres on the bikes, slept in a tent and did the cooking alfresco.

Look at the pictures and paintings to get an idea of how the tour went. The journal-pages are in Swedish, but will maybe com in English. The map below shows the rout that we cycled; the red and green lines represent the days, most of the figures are placed at the end of that days route. The longest green day in the north was partly covered by buss.
